Saline County Lost Pets (salinecountylostpets.com) is a free community board for lost, found and loose pets in Saline County, Arkansas. This page explains what we collect and how it's used.
What we collect
- What you put in a post: the pet's details and photos, where and when it was seen, and the contact name, phone numbers and email you enter.
- Your email address, which we use to send a one-time confirmation code before a post goes live.
- Basic technical data like your IP address, used only to limit spam (for example, how many posts one connection can make per hour).
We don't use accounts, passwords, tracking cookies or advertising.
What is public
Posts are public so neighbors can help. Your phone number(s) and email are shown on your post only if you check the box to show them. Confirmed posts are also shared to our Facebook page (facebook.com/SalineCountyLostPets) with the same details shown on the website.
How it's used
Only to run this site: show posts, suggest possible matches between lost and found pets, send confirmation codes, and share posts on our Facebook page. We never sell or rent your information.
Services we use
- Fly.io hosts the website and stores posts and photos.
- Resend sends confirmation-code emails.
- Facebook (Meta) receives posts we share to our page.
- OpenStreetMap provides map images.
Removing your information
Use the private link you got when you posted (also under “My Posts” on the device you used) to mark your pet reunited or delete your post. Deleting removes the post and its photos from the website and removes the matching post from our Facebook page. Posts that were never confirmed are deleted automatically after 2 days.
Lost your link? Message our Facebook page at facebook.com/SalineCountyLostPets with the post's link and we'll remove it.
Children
This site is meant for adults. Please don't post if you're under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
